In simple words it is the science of life and living organisms. An organism is a living entity consisting of one cell e.g. bacteria, or several cells e.g. animals, plants and fungi.


What are the three major branches of biology?

The three major branches of Biology are:

1. Medical Science- It includes the study of several plants used in medicines.

2. Botany- It includes the study of plants.

3. Zoology- It includes the study of animals.



Why it important to study biology?

By studying biology, students learn to make more informed decisions about their own health and about significant biological issues such as genetically modified crops, the use of antibiotics, and the eradication of invasive species.

Who is the father of biology?

Aristotle is known as the father of biology. Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece.
